Scarlet Anger

SCARLET ANGER is a Luxembourgish THRASH METAL band founded in 2007 by singer Joe Block and guitarist Fred Molitor. The first gigs were quickly followed by the release of their first EP called „La Realidad Es Triste …“, whose successor „Kill The King“ brought the band international fame for the first time.

More aggressive and faster than its predecessor, “Kill The King” not only received critical acclaim, but also caught the attention of German label Dust On The Tracks. This led to a worldwide record deal for the first LP „Dark Reign“, which was mastered by Jeff Waters from Annhilator and released by Dust On The Tracks on May 11th, 2012.

Classic comics and horror stories from the ’80s and ’90s served as the main inspiration for what would become their second LP „Freak Show“. The album, mastered by Jens Bogren at the Fascination Street Studios in Sweden, has a more melodic approach. It was released on March 18th, 2016 via Haensel und Gretel / MIG Music. Each song on the LP had their own Artwork/Coverwork done by Fred Molitor himself.

After taking it to the extreme with the cover artworks on “Freak Show”, the band wanted to go back to the basics. They have dropped their trademark, the Dark Clown and are now putting the music further in the foreground. The 3rd album „MARTYR“ will be released worldwide on all common streaming platforms on January 20th, 2024. Despite that the market for physical copies changed drastically the last years, limited physical copies are available at the shows and at our online shop.
